    Featuring: Rickshaw 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2011 vintage was phenomenal for Cabernet Sauvignon, as a moderate and cool summer gave way to a warm September and October. Small berries produced some exceptionally concentrated flavors that ripened late.

In this rendition of our RICKSHAW Cabernet Sauvignon, we selected for a slightly richer expression than in the past, using a higher percentage of new oak and a few riper lots. These components brought dark plum, coffee grounds, and cassis to the wine. This base is buttressed by a few mountain sources that provide a streak of red fruit, verve, and structure. It remains an incredibly versatile Cabernet that will work with anything from steak to tuna with ease.

    Featuring: Rickshaw 2012 Chardonnay

2012 is a vintage for the books. A nearly perfect growing season led to long and slow ripening of the Chardonnay grapes as they hung on the vine well into September. The pristine juice produced wine of great richness, without sacrificing the racy acidity that we demand in our wines.

The RICKSHAW Chardonnay has all the elegance of its Sonoma Coast peers, blended with rich notes of creme brulee and topped with ripe tropical fruits. For this vintage, we scoured vineyards all over California looking for the perfect balance of zip and lusciousness. After fermentation in stainless steel, the wine was aged in French and American Oak barrels for 6 months to add a toasty complexity.

    Featuring: Rickshaw 2012 Pinot Noir

We source this RICKSHAW Pinot from a variety of coastal cool-climate vineyards with a large percentage coming from the Sonoma Coast. The wine is fermented in small open top vessels and aged in a combination of new (15%) and used (75%) French Oak barrels and a small percentage of stainless steel tanks (10%) to promote freshness. As always, pure Pinot flavor and exquisite balance are the goals with this wine.

This wine sings with unmistakable and pure Pinotosity! It has a compelling mix of raspberry, pomegranate and cherry notes combined with a stylishly integrated structure. All in all, pretty amazing Pinot Noir for its modest price.
